Acorn Centre works to support the life of local people and the community, irrespective of faith or belief. We aim to be a catalyst for growth for body, mind and spirit through the provision of its community services.

Our work is focused on offering volunteering opportunities, internet access, training in basic skills and IT, providing a community cafe and information advice and guidance. We work with young people from the local area to provide a safe place for them to drop in and opportunities for them to develop as individuals.

The Acorn Centre was formed 9 years ago by a group of Christians as a safe haven for the marginalised and disadvantaged and has since grown to deliver a wide range of training, educating, personal development and enterprise programmes within an area of 13 miles.  It has full Development Trust Status and is a community anchor and the catalyst for the economic and social regeneration of Todmorden.
